Prof. Qihao Weng Gave an Invited Keynote Speech on AAIA’s Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Online Summit

The AAIA’s Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence (AI) online summit was successfully held on April 23, 2022, and has attracted many participants from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas. This unique, unprecedented real-time conference brought together global pioneers in AI, who shared their inspirational insights on advanced technology, current state, emerging issues, and trends in AI.

Prof. Qihao Weng, a Foreign Member of The Academy of Europe (Academia Europaea), a Fellow of IEEE, AAAS, ASPRS, and AAIA, and a Chair Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, was invited to give a keynote speech. His speech, themed  “AI in Remote Sensing: An introduction to the current state, “, was comprehensive and detailed. Prof. Weng carried out the speech in five aspects: history of remote sensing technology, analysis of remotely sensed imagery, machine learning models in remote sensing technology, machine learning for remote sensing applications, and future issues of AI remote sensing.  The topic generated many novel ideas for collaboration between remote sensing and computer vision experts to develop new technologies in future research.
